It can cause weakness, shortness of breath, fatigue, palpitations, nausea, weight loss, diarrhoea and yellowish skin and eyes. They state further that if this condition persists then it can cause irreversible damage to the nerves, due to which you might suffer from symptoms like numbness and tingling in hands and feet, difficulty in walking, irritability, memory loss, depression, dementia, psychosis and muscle weakness.

Foods which contain folic acid are to be avoided, processed food, alcohol and caffeine are not to be consumed as well. Consuming foods which are low in vitamin B12 like raw food, dried nori, barley grass and spirulina should be avoided.
