In a new Instagram video, shared in collaboration with Dr. Timothy Katzen, a prominent plastic surgeon in the U.S., Nikocado offered fans a glimpse into the moments leading up to his surgery
Nicholas Perry, better known as Nikocado Avocado, has captivated his audience once again—this time, not with his signature Mukbang videos, but with his remarkable weight loss journey. The YouTuber, who has documented his transformation over the past two years, revealed that he shed more than 250 pounds (approximately 114 kg). Following his drastic weight loss, he recently underwent skin removal surgery to eliminate 5 kg of excess skin.
In a new Instagram video, shared in collaboration with Dr. Timothy Katzen, a prominent plastic surgeon in the U.S., Nikocado offered fans a glimpse into the moments leading up to his surgery. The clip opens with him lying on a hospital bed, prepped and ready for the procedure.
When asked how he was feeling, he responded with his signature humor: “Oh, gosh, you’re gonna film this. Thanks, haters… It’s all their fault. But I don’t mind them—I actually love mean comments. They make me laugh. I have a very, very good sense of humor.”
However, as the medical team prepared to insert his IV, he admitted to feeling anxious, saying, “My heart races, and I have trouble breathing.” The doctors and nurses reassured him, guiding him to take deep breaths.
Even in this vulnerable moment, Nikocado maintained his playful banter, adding, “I don’t like the haters. I like the haters. The haters bring excitement. Sometimes, they’re very smart and say funny things. I’ve always loved when they made fun of me and talked about my FUPA.” (FUPA, short for Fatty Upper Pubic Area, refers to the accumulation of fat above the pubic bone.)
As he was wheeled into the operating room, Nikocado shared a message of encouragement for his fans. “I really, truly hope this inspires people to do this,” he said. “I’m so ready for this.” Moments later, the anesthesia took effect, and he drifted into unconsciousness.
The post was captioned, “Nikocado Avocado going to sleep before his skin removal surgery with Timothy Katzen. Anesthesia is your FRIEND!” In response, Nikocado humorously commented, “Omg, I don’t remember saying ANY of this. I must’ve been speaking from the heart.”
