Sunny Deol said that he doesn’t want to fight Lok Sabha elections anymore.

Sunny Deol, who is enjoying the success of Gadar 2 which is unstoppable at the box office, recently talked about low attendance when he appeared on Aap Ki Adalat. He said that he doesn’t want to fight the 2024 elections.

On being asked about his low attendance in parliament, the actor-politician said in Hindi, “My attendance is really low and I don’t say that this is a good thing but when I came into politics, I realised this is not my world. But I am working for my constituency and I will keep doing that. It doesn’t matter if I go to parliament or not, that doesn’t affect my work for my constituency. Also, I face problems when I go to the parliament. There is security and then there was Covid. As an actor wherever you go, people surround you. I have a list of the work I’ve done for my constituency, but I am not among those who promote their work. As for politics, yes it is a profession that I don’t fit in.”

While talking about his candidacy in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Sunny firmly said, “I don’t want to fight anymore.” On being asked if PM Modi asks him to fight the election, the actor said, “Modi ji also knows that this boy Sunny is doing service for the country through his films, so he should continue doing that.”

Headlined by Sunny Deol, the action-packed sequel Gadar 2 has been a mammoth success earning Rs 500 crore net at the domestic box office becoming only the third Hindi film to do so after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi).

Also starring Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur, and Manish Wadhwa in the leading roles, Gadar 2 is the follow-up to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Both the films have been helmed by Anil Sharma.
