Coming back to Gadar 2, set before the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the Sunny Deol film takes forward the story seventeen years after the events in the first part. Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh crosses the border to rescue his son Jeete aka Charanjeet Singh, played by director Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma, in the blockbuster. Anil Sharma had also helmed the first part Gadar: Ek Prem Katha in 2001.
