Stampede-like situation reported at AR Rahman’s Chennai concert, anger spills online – Top Speed News

On Sunday, AR Rahman held a concert ‘Marakuma Nenjam’ at Chennai’s Adityaram Palace. However, a stampede-like situation occurred when reportedly around 50,000 people came to attend the concert.

The videos from his concert are now going viral on social media. In the viral clips, netizens can be heard claiming that women have been molested, and children have been injured at the concert. Some can be heard calling AR Rahman’s team ‘fraud’. Meanwhile, a woman can be heard saying that ‘a 30-year-old fan died in her today.’

One of the social media users shared the videos and wrote, “It was the worst concert ever in the History #ARRahman #Scam2023 by #ACTC. Respect Humanity. 30 Years of the Fan in me died today Mr. #ARRAHMAN. #MarakkumaNenjam Marakkavey Mudiyathu, . A performer in the stage can’t never see what’s happening at other areas just watch it.”

Another wrote, “People returning after they couldn’t get access to the show. Ladies molested, children injured in the stampede, elderly collapsed due to suffocation while @arrahman  was still singing with a closed eye shit show and a near-death experience for my family #ARRahman.”

A social media user Pavitra wrote, “The number of men who used the crowd as an excuse to violate women today..we were struggling to breathe and were also violated. fuck all those men and f**k@actcevents the fan in me died today @arrahman  thank you for that.”

In another tweet, she wrote, “trying so hard to hold it together but i want to crawl out of my skin. every man who harassed a woman today deserves to d!3 a painful death.” One of the social media replied to her tweet and wrote, “He was aware a child was missed in the stampede and yet continued the concert without a follow up! Isn’t his responsibility to at least be empathetic towards the tragedy being faced in HIS concert by HIS fans??!!! EVERYONE CAME FOR HIM !”
