Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation organises a special screening of Jawan for underprivileged people to celebrate the film’s success.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently basking the success of his recent release Jawan. The film is inching closer to collect Rs 1000 crore worldwide at the box office and to celebrate this, the actor’s Meer Foundation organised special screenings of the movie for underprivileged individuals.
Earlier, during an AskSRK session on Twitter, when a fan asked Shah Rukh Khan about charity work after the success of Jawan, the actor replied, “I think we are moving in the right direction and helping as many as we can to lead a happier life. No need to talk about that. But very excited I have just told them to show the film #Jawan to all NGOs this week. All over. Somebody just gave me that idea so feeling happy.”
To make this happen, Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation collaborated with multiple NGOs supporting diverse causes, including acid attack survivors, underprivileged children, orphans, street children, those from slum communities, tribal children, disabled individuals, teachers, Anganwadi workers, NGO personnel and many more and organized Jawan’s special screening for them.
Sharing the video of the underprivileged people’s review of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan on Instagram, Meer Foundation wrote, “Lights, camera, compassion! Meer Foundation
proudly presented Mr. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan movie to over 20 NGOs across the nation. They joined us in celebrating this cinematic journey of love and support. Making people smile is what he does best. We’re always, ‘Good to go, chief!’”
Helmed by Atlee, Jawan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s most expensive film to date made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. Produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma, the movie also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi and others in key roles. The film went on to earn Rs 955 crore worldwide at the box office within a month and continues to have a successful run at the box office.
