Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is third Hindi film to earn Rs 100 crore in India in two days – Top Speed News

Before Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s own Pathaan and Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) are the only other Hindi films to earn Rs 100 crore in India within just two days.

Filmmaker Atlee has presented Shah Rukh Khan in his most massiest avatar in Jawan and the never seen before action avatar of SRK has worked wonders for the film. After earning Rs 65.50 crore net on its first day and creating the record for the highest ever opening for a Bollywood film, Jawan continued to dominate the box office on Friday as well.

As per the enterainment tracking portal Sacnilk.com, Jawan earned at least Rs 47 crore in India on its second day, taking the two-day net India collection to over Rs 112.50 crore. The film witnessed a drop in is collection since Thursday was a partial hliday due to Janmashtami celebrations across India and Friday was a working day.

This makes Jawan only the third Hindi film to earn more than Rs 100 crore in India within two days after Shah Rukh Khan’s own Pathaan and Yash and Prashanth Neel’s KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi), which collected Rs 123 crore and Rs 100.74 crore net in their first two days at the domestic box office.

Talking about the worldwide numbers, the Shah Rukh Khan film made a whopping Rs 129.60 crore gross at the global box office on its opening day itself. Adding the global earnings of its second day, the Atlee directorial will easily cross Rs 200 crore gross, smashing multiple records on is way.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan has Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist and Nayantha marking her Bollywood debut as the leading lady. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance and Sanjay Dutt also makes a cameo in the film’s climax. The director Atlee himself is seen for a few seconds in the Zinda Banda song. The film has been released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages worldwide.
