In a recent interview with Times Now, Rajveer Deol talked about how he doesn’t remember his father Sunny Deol’s stardom and said, “I grew up in the mid-2000s, and my dad was not what he used to be in the 80s or the 90s. When he was really big, I was very small and so I don’t remember his stardom.” He said he was too young to even understand this all.

Rajveer further talked about Gadar 2’s success and said, “I never saw it as – this is success or failure. I mean, you’re a kid, you don’t really realize it. So, after 22 years now when Gadar 2 was released – this was the first time, with full consciousness, I could see my dad finally hit the bullseye and finally be joyful and happy. Yeah, it’s been wonderful to watch his success today.”

Rajveer also revealed his father Sunny Deol’s advice before his Bollywood debut and said, “My father always reminded me that someone who is less privileged than me will always work harder, I always thought that I should feel like I deserve this. I should feel that I”m good enough for this. So, since I was a kid, that mentality was already in my head, and I did not want a helping hand in anything.”

Rajveer Deol is all set to make a grand Bollywood debut with the romantic drama film Dono which also marks the debut of Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma. Not only this, the film is also directed by a debutant director Avnish Barjatya who is the son of renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 5.
