Helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Fukrey 3 stars Pankaj Tripathi, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat along with others. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 28. The comedy-drama was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on September 7, but that slot was later taken by Shah Rukh Khan and to avoid a clash, the movie was postponed to December 1. However, after the release of Salaar was postponed, the makers decided to release the movie on September 28.
After his recent release OMG 2, Pankaj Tripathi reflected on doing sequels and said, “Doing sequels is easy because you know the world and character. However, at the same time, it is boring, because you think, ‘How long will this carry forward, like the third or fourth part’. But since it’s a success, maybe it is getting made.”
