Jawan clips stolen and leaked online, Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment files complaint – Top Speed News

A few clips from Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan have been stolen and leaked online, the makers have alleged in an FIR.

Some clips of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Jawan have allegedly been stolen from the makers and leaked online. The film’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment filed an FIR at the Santacruz Police Station on Thursday in the matter, claiming that their copyright was violated in the act.

As reported by the Free Press Journal, an FIR was filed by Red Chillies, Shah Rukh’s company at Mumbai’s Santacruz Police Station on August 10 under the Information Technology Act. The report states that the producers have identified five Twitter handles that shared the leaked clips from Jawan and sent legal notices to them as well. One of the handles has, reportedly, acknowledged the notice.

This is the third time a clip or still from Jawan has been leaked online. A couple of months ago, a slow-motion action sequence of Shah Rukh Khan fighting in the film was leaked on various social media forums. Back then too, Red Chillies had moved court asking for the clips to be taken down.

“It is the plaintiff’s (Red Chillies) case that these leaked video clips are nothing but clear violation of copyright/intellectual property rights of the plaintiff which are causing damage and loss to the plaintiff. The leaked video clips together give away the look of the actors in the said film, as well as the music, both of which are typically disclosed at strategic points in time as part of the carefully-curated marketing strategy of a film,” the court was told.

Later, a couple of pictures and videos of Shah Rukh Khan’s bald look from the film were leaked as well, before being taken down again. Eventually, the film’s prevue gave a detailed look at that garb of Shah Rukh.

Jawan, directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, along with Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. The film reportedly also includes a cameo by Thalapathy Vijay, who has made three films with the director. Jawan released across India on September 7.
