Earlier, celebrating the film’s success, the film’s producer Kalanithi Maran, gifted BMW X7 to Rajinikanth and Porsche to the director Nelson on Friday, September 1 last week. On September 4, the music director Anirudh Ravichander was also presented with a brand new Porsche car worth Rs 1.5 crore by Maran.
The video of the same has been shared on the social media handles and YouTube channel of the production banner Sun Pictures with the caption, “To celebrate the humongous blockbuster #Jailer, Mr. Kalanithi Maran presented the key of a brand new Porsche car to @anirudhofficial”.
In the clip, it is seen that Anirudh was given an option to pick one out of the three luxury cars and he added the brand new Porsche to his swanky car collection. Anirudh, who is the nephew of Rajinikanth, has given chartbuster songs such as Kaavaalaa, Hukum, and Rathamaarey for Jailer.
Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which released in theatres last month, has been a resounding success, minting close to Rs 600 crore worldwide and is still going strong. The film is now the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, behind Rajni’s own 2.0. The superstar will be now seen in Thalaivar 171 – the tentative title for his upcoming film. The project will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, whose last film featured Kamal Haasan and next stars Thalapathy Vijay.
