Dream Girl 2 is headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, and Annu Kapoor in prominent roles.
Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday’s relationship rumours have been brewing since Koffee With Karan 7 last year when the actress admitted that she finds the actor ‘hot’. Since then, the rumoured couple has posed together multiple times at Manish Malhotra’s Diwali bash, Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani’s wedding reception, and other events.
Last month, Aditya and Ananya were also spotted together in Spain and Portugal. Adding sparks to these rumours, The Night Manager actor attended the screening of the Gehraiyaan actress’s latest release Dream Girl 2 on Thursday, a day ahead of it worldwide release on August 25.
After the screening, Aditya was hounded by paps and when he was asked his reaction to the film headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana, he said, “It was first class, hit hai”, and also urged the shutterbugs to watch the comedy and decide for themselves. Ananya has replaced Nushrratt Bharuccha in the sequel to the 2019 hit Dream Girl.
Apart from Ayushmann and Ananya, the film features Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi, and Annu Kapoor appear in prominent roles. Raaj Shaandilyaa, who helmed the prequel in his directorial debut, has also directed Dream Girl 2 produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures.
The DNA review for Dream Girl 2 reads, “Despite its idiocy, cringe, and nonsense, Dream Girl 2 makes you laugh and root for the protagonist. It does what a good film is supposed to – entertain. And that is something very few Bollywood movies have managed in the last few years. That alone makes Dream Girl 2 worth a trip to the theatre.”
