Gadar 2, Pathaan actor Manish Wadhwa reveals Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol are similar in one aspect.
Gadar 2 villain Manish Wadhwa is currently enjoying the success of his film. The actor also starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathaan which was also a box-office success. Having worked with both, the actor cited similarities between Sunny Deol and SRK in a recent interview.
In a conversation with IndiaToday.in, Manish Wadhwa revealed the similarities between Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol and said, “Both are superstars. Both are very focused. They know their job. Like a cricket match. Ek aadmi century banayega, match nahi jeet sakta. You cannot win a match alone. Everybody has to play.”
He further added a ‘good quality’ between the two and said, “So, if your product is good, if your complete package is good, definitely it’s going to work. Both Sunny Paaji and SRK make sure that it’s a team effort, which is very good quality.”
He further credited Sunny Deol’s hammer for ‘reviving Bollywood’ and said, “Definitely Bollywood is back. Because of Covid and other factors, people were not happy. Initially, people were not happy with ‘Pathaan’ also, but see, the film made a record. So it’s about the film. At that time, I was saying the same thing, you first buy the gold. How can you say it’s fake before buying? You cannot assume. Watch the film, if you see something which is not good or something like that, then you can do something. You can oppose it, you can fight it. But before watching it, how can you just assume that this is wrong-that is wrong? Having said that, the cinema is back with a bang, with Sunny Paaji ka hathoda! (Laughs).”
Helmed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 stars Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, Ameesha Patel as Sakina, Utkarsh Sharma as Charanjeet, and Manish Wadhwa as the antagonist. The movie also stars Simrat Kaur, Gaurav Chopra, and Luv Sinha in key roles. Despite clashing with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, the movie has collected Rs 230 crore at the box office in just 4 days and is enjoying a strong box office run.
While Sunny Deol is currently enjoying the success of his recent release Gadar 2, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Jawan. The movie also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi along with Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in key roles. Helmed by Atlee, the action thriller is scheduled to release on September 7 in theatres. The actor also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the pipeline which is scheduled to release in December this year.
