Meanwhile, Jungkook, who is currently enjoying the success of his solo single Seven, has found himself in the middle of controversies as composer Yang Joon Youn has accused the BTS singer of plagiarism.
The composer claims that SEVEN is similar to his Fin. K.L’s 1999 hit Time of Mask. He expressed his concerns over similarities and presented evidence to HYBE’s in-house producers. Yang Joon Youn urged the company to investigate. However, BigHit Music issued an official statement and said the claims are not true. It said, “We would like to inform you that the claims of copyright infringement regarding Jungkook’s Seven are not true.”
It further read, “Seven is a song that was made through the collaboration of five foreign composers, and it is a creation that is completely unrelated to the song on a domestic album from 24 years ago like some are claiming. They are one-sided claims that do not meet any criteria such as substantial similarity and principles in determining plagiarism.”
Meanwhile, BTS Army in India was in for a surprise when Jungkook revealed that he loves Indian food and also went on to reveal his favourite Indian dish. During his recent Weverse Live, Jungkook revealed that he loves Indian food when he read a comment asking if he’s ever tried the cuisine.
