If reports are to be believed, former lovers, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon will come together on-screen after 1994’s Mohra.
Actors Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon have a history. They shared screen space in Mohra (1994), and their electrifying on-screen chemistry impressed moviegoers. After the movie, the two dated, and they even reportedly even got engaged. However, their engagement was called off after a few years and got settled with their respective partners.
Today, Akshay and Raveena are cordial, but they haven’t been seen together on-screen for the past 29 years. However, if reports are to be believed, the two ex-lovers will reunite soon. As per the media reports, Akshay and Raveena might come together for the much-awaited Welcome 3. As Filmfare reported, Akshay and Raveena might collaborate for the third instalment of Welcome, titled, Welcome To The Jungle.
Released in 2007, Welcome has become a cult comedy over the years and has become a pop culture phenomenon with its memes still being used after 15 years of its release. Apart from Akshay Kumar leading the film, the crime comedy starred Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar as Majnu Bhai and Uday Bhai and their roles became iconic.
In 2015, the sequel Welcome Back was released with John Abraham replacing Akshay Kumar as the main lead and Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar reprising their roles. However, it failed to recreate the magic of the first part and received negative reviews from audiences and critics.
Now, after 9 years, the third part Welcome 3, officially titled Welcome To The Jungle, is set to release on Christmas 2024. Akshay Kumar will return to the franchise but the characters of Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai will be played by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as Anil and Nana have refused to come on board for the threequel. As Bollywood Hungama reported, Anil demanded Rs 18 crore for the upcoming movie, and thus he was replaced. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, and Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty will also join the cast as Awara Paagal Deewana.Yeda Anna.
