The property is called the Marble Palace. It was named the most expensive house in Dubai when it was put on sale for 750 million dirhams, which is equivalent to $204 million. The sale of the property was done on the website of Sotheby’s International Realty and in Indian currency the property is worth around Rs 1,671 crore.
It is located on the Emirates Hills, an exclusive neighbourhood in Dubai, which is popularly known as the Beverly Hills of Dubai. The design of the mansion was inspired by the high-class, aristocratic buildings in Paris. It takes up to 70,000 sq ft of the property, with an additional space of 60,000 square feet. The main inspiration for the mansion is said to be from the High Renaissance and Baroque periods. As per reports, it took 12 years to develop the property, which was completed in 2018.
The mansion has 7,00,000 sheets of gold leaf which was applied in nine months. The Italian marble used for the house is worth $27 million dollars alone and it covers most of the house, from floors to the walls and columns. Marble Palace consists of 5 big bedrooms, a mini primary bedroom, a 4,000 square foot primary suite, 19 bathrooms and 12 staff rooms which can accommodate 25 staffers.
Marble Palace has a garage which can keep up to 15 cars, a coral leaf aquarium, and dining and entertainment rooms on the ground floor. The main floor of the mansion consists of an indoor pool, steam room sauna, and a jacuzzi made of 24-carat gold.
The CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty, George Azhar says, “The Palace’s grandiose design is the culmination of a rigorous 12-year research and analysis of royal palaces and residences, which entailed frequent trips to Europe.”
