Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has accused the makers of Yaariyan 2 of hurting religious sentiments. Director-duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru issued clarification about the same.
Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri, and Pearl V Puri-starrer Yaariyan 2 has attracted controversy as the Sikh religious community Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has accused the makers of objectional use of Sikh Kakkar Kirpan in the song Saure Ghar.
SGPC tweeted about the same on their Twitter and requested the government to look into the matter and pull down the song from YouTube and other streaming platforms, or else legal action would be taken.

The director-duo of Yaariyan 2, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru issued a statement and said that the Meezaan didn’t wear a Kirpan but a khukri.
