OMG 2 is the spiritual sequel of the Umesh Shukla-directed hit film OMG – Oh My God! released in 2012, also features Yami Gautam, Pavan Raj Malhotra, Govind Namdev, Aarush Varma, Arun Govil, and Brijendra Kala among others in supporting roles. It is only the second directorial of Amit Rai, who helmed his first film Road To Sangam 13 years ago.
On the other hand, Gadar 2, which released alongside OMG 2, has earned Rs 300 crore in India within eight days of its theatrical release. The nostalgia factor of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and stardom of Sunny Deol has led to audiences thronging theatres in large numbers across India to see the Anil Sharma directorial.
