Shah Rukh Khan reacts to Nayanthara’s less screen time in Jawan and calls it unfortunate.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently enjoying the success of his latest release Jawan. Recently, there were reports that Nayanthara was upset with Atlee for making the film about Shah Rukh-Deepika Padukone. Now, SRK has also reacted to the less screentime of the actress in the movie.
During an AskSRK session on Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan addressed the less screentime of Nayanthara in Jawan. A Twitter user who completed the actor’s character Azad’s bond with Suji in the movie wrote, “I loved Azad’s bond with Suji …the single mom storyline was so subtly done and really refreshing. Thank you for representing women from all walks of life. Love you Shah @iamsrk #AskSRK #Jawan,”
I also felt that the story of Narmada as a single mom was amazing. Unfortunately in the scheme of things couldn’t find more screen time but as is was also wonderful. #Jawan https://t.co/QStZVAOMxC

To this, Shah Rukh Khan replied, “I also felt that the story of Narmada as a single mom was amazing. Unfortunately in the scheme of things couldn’t find more screen time but as is was also wonderful. #Jawan.”
Earlier, there were reports that Nayanthara is upset with Atlee over her less screen time in the film. A source told Hindustan Times, “She has been very upset with Atlee because her role was chopped in the film. Also, Deepika’s (Padukone) character was elevated and Nayantara’s part was significantly sidelined.” The source further added, “It was not a cameo at all. Jawan was almost made to look like an SRK-Deepika film.” However, recently, Nayanthara wished Atlee on his birthday.
Nayanthara also joined through a video call at Jawan’s success meet in Mumbai and said, I have been reading all your messages, and I have to say it is absolutely overwhelming to receive so much love for Jawan. Your support means the world to me, and I’m extremely, extremely grateful for it. And of course, a big thank you to my lovely co-stars and the entire team for giving me the opportunity to play Narmada. It’s been a journey filled with laughter, challenges, and growth. Speaking of growth, I want to thank the man who needs no introduction—Shah Rukh sir. To share the screen with him and witness his exceptional talent and lively energy in person was truly, truly, truly fabulous.”
Helmed by Atlee, Jawan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead along with Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Lehar Khan among others in key roles. Produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie has broken several box office records and has collected Rs 938 crore at the box office worldwide.
