Gulshan Devaiah revealed that he didn’t want to play bad boy when he was offered Guns & Gulaabs by Raj and DK.

Gulshan Devaiah won hearts with his role Char Cut Aatmaram in the Netflix series Guns & Gulaabs which also stars Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav, and TJ Bhanu. In an exclusive conversation with DNA India, the actor opened up about his role.

On being asked about his reaction after he heard about his role Char Cut Aatmaram, Gulshan Devaiah stated, “Raj sir had called me and told me that you have a role like this. And I was a bit skeptical in the beginning. I was like ‘Sir he is a bad guy’. And he was like ‘No no…just have a look at it.’ And I was like ‘sir, I don’t want to play bad guy. I am doing other things like I was doing Dahaad and others which were like away from playing a bad guy.’ But then I told my manager ‘listen if I let this go, then I will regret it later. This seems so much fun, the world that they are creating, it just seems like a lot of fun. So it will be a mistake if I say no. So let’s see if we can say yes to it.’ And it did work out.”

While speaking about what he will miss the most about Guns & Gulaabs, Gulshan said, “The winters, I do miss winters. It was Dehradun so Dehradun had fond memories of me because I got so much love for Badhaai Do and after it was released, we were shooting for this. Both Raj and I were mobbed in a hotel by people as they loved the film so much. We got so much appreciation, so I was having really a good time. And winters are always fun.”
