Ameesha Patel reacts to her controversial OTT filled with gay-lesbianism’ comment and said she was ‘misunderstood’.

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, who is enjoying the success of her recent release Gadar 2, found herself in the middle of controversies after she expressed her views about the nature of the content available on OTT platforms.

In her recent interview, the actress clarified and said she was misunderstood. While speaking to India Today, “I think that section [who took offense to her comment] misunderstood because I have nothing against what’s all going on OTT at all. I only used to hear from people that we have a child lock ON for many content on OTT because we cannot watch those shows with a family audience.”

She further said, “We want family content which I said was missing for some time. I am glad that Gadar 2 has come and that is the reaction we are getting where all age group is watching.” She stood by her comment and said, “I did not phrase it wrong at all. I said the truth which is the parents would like to watch a family movie coz the youth today gets influenced a lot by YouTubers & influencers, all these different media platforms.”

“Youngsters have to see that the world is also a beautiful place with family value,” she added. Ameesha Patel’s Sakina and Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh’s reunion after 22 years in Gadar 2 has left fans nostalgic. The film is receiving immense love from the audience and has broken several box office records. The actress recently revealed what she would like to change in the movie.

In a recent interview with ETimes, when asked what she would like to change in the film and Ameesha Patel replied, “Nothing really but I wish I was the editor. I would have edited and re-edited a few things and made it maybe crisper.” 

The actress who made her debut with Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai! with Hrithik Roshan, was also asked if she would like to work with Hrithik again and the actress replied, “I would love to!” She further added, “A cute, fun love story with a little bit of comedy, great music, and lots of dance because we’re both good dancers.”
