Despite positive responses, Ghoomer failed to secure even a crore at the Indian box office. Sadly, the trend of Gadar 2 and OMG 2 has majorly affected R Ballki’s sports drama.
Ghoomer box office collection day 1: Director R Balki’s latest sports drama, Ghoomer, led by Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher opened with positive reviews from the critics, but sadly, the movie failed to open on a decent note. As Sacnilk reported. Ghoomer collected only Rs 85 lakhs on Friday.
Clearly, the super-strong box office business of last week’s Gadar 2 and OMG 2 has overpowered and affected Ghoomer’s business majorly. Before Ghoomer, Abhishek’s last theatrical release was Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan (2018). As Bollywood Hungama reported, Manmarziyaan collected Rs 3.52 crores on its first day. R Balki’s last directorial Chup also opened better than Ghoomer. As Bollywood Hungama reported, Chup collected Rs 3.06 crore on its first Friday.
