Director Vivek Agnihotri’s new film, The Vaccine War is out, and the netizens have shared their thoughts about it on social media.
Director Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War has been released in the cinemas, and the movie has left moviegoers impressed with its ‘no-nonsense’ fitting tribute to the unsung warriors during COVID-19. Nana Patekar-led ensemble science-drama portrays the bravery of scientists and the sacrifices they made during the crisis, to give India and the world a vaccine against a life-threatening virus.
On Thursday, the movie opened with positive responses from critics, and even the netizens have lauded the film for its sheer storytelling and compelling performances by the actors. Several netizens shared their reaction after The Vaccine War on X (formerly Twitter).
A netizen wrote, “Hats off to @vivekagnihotri ji and the whole team of #TheVaccineWar for making this masterpiece. This film is a tribute to all the covid warriors. Besides it exposes the enemies of India, especially living in India who tried to weaken India’s fight against covid. ‘India can do it’!” Another netizen wrote, “Deeply engaging plot. @nanagpatekar as Dr. Balaram Bhargav was intense, Pallavi Joshi and @GirijaOak were emotional rollercoasters. You will hate @raimasen. BGM is superb & it supports the scenes well. Thanks, @vivekagnihotri for the Masterpiece.” An internet user wrote, “The Vaccine War unveils the untold saga of India’s Covaxin journey! Marvel at the brilliance of #women scientists who defied all odds. Don’t miss this powerful narrative that exposes media bias and celebrates triumph in the face of adversity. #TheVaccineWarMustWatch.”

Touted to be India’s first bio-science film, The Vaccine War is slated to release on September 28, 2023, and stars Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Sapthami Gowda, Raima Sen, Girja Oak, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Mohan Kapur and Vivek Prabhakar. The movie pays tribute to the medical fraternity of scientists and doctors who manufactured India’s own indigenous vaccine under the worst circumstances and succeeded, showing the immense pressure they were under and the many difficulties they faced.
