This man gave up UPSC dream, lucrative law career to try luck in Bollywood, married two actresses – Top Speed News

From regular paychecks, this young corporate lawyer from Delhi came to Mumbai with enough to survive for just two years.

While most of us quickly settle into a secure profession for life, this man went from a cufflinks wearing hotshot young lawyer to a seasoned actor. In between, he had a brief experience of the prestigious civil services sector.

Mishra studied at the Doon School and then graduated from University of Delhi’s St Stephen’s College. He gave civil services a shot in the 2000s and was a corporate lawyer in the national capital. But Mishra then decided to take the risk of leaving job security and left for Mumbai in 2008. With enough savings to survive in Mumbai for a couple of years, he set about to make a career in Bollywood.

In the third innings of his career, Satyadeep Mishra made his Bollywood debut in 2011 with ‘No One Killed Jessica’. Before deciding to pack up his bags and give up the comfort of a regular paycheck for Mumbai’s uncertainty, he was a young lawyer. “This is incorrect on Google actually that I had qualified for Civil Services but didn’t join Income Tax. I had actually trained for 10 months and was a lawyer for the last 11 years,” he had said on a TV show.

Since No One Killed Jessica, Mishra has featured in a number of movies like ‘Turning 30’, ‘Chillar Party’, ‘Madly’, most recently in Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Vikram Vedha’. He has also done some TV and web series.

Satyadeep Mishra was earlier married to actress Aditi Rao Hydari but the couple parted ways in 2013. This year, he tied the knot with actress and designer Masaba Gupta.
